January  1, 2026:  Fresno State Student Services - Overview

Welcome to my first blog!  I'm excited to share with you information about all of the services that are available to Fresno State students through the Division of Student Affairs and Enrollment Management at Fresno State.

Most of us know there are student services on campus, but knowing they exist isn’t the same as knowing when or how to use them. I realized pretty quickly that I couldn’t name half of the services available to us; and I’m on campus all the time! Between classes, work, and trying to have some kind of life, most students don’t have time to dig through university websites. If that sounds familiar, you’re definitely not alone. So I’m going to do the work for you!

Over the course of the semester, I’ll introduce you to some of the great resources Fresno State provides for students. Some of these services offer benefits that can save you real money, real time, or a lot of stress. Whether you’re stressed about money, worried about finding a job, or just trying to get through the semester, these resources can make a difference. There’s a lot of ground to cover!

Along the way I expect to learn alongside you as I dive into not just what these services are but all the opportunities, they can provide that you and I may not know about. I look forward to learning with you as I take a deep dive into these available services that, to many, are hidden gems that are readily available to students.

For example, until recently I had no idea that we have a student closet on campus that offers three free pieces of professional clothing per semester. As an MCJ student who is involved in broadcast media, THAT IS HUGE NEWS TO ME!

If even one of these services helps you feel a little more supported this semester, then this series is worth your time. And these services aren’t just for students in crisis; they’re there for anyone who wants to make the most of their time (and student fees) at Fresno State.
